Let me explain something.

Thanks for your time.

Thank you for making this important issue known. I, too, agree. Otherwise you get all the exhaust fumes from other people in your car. I ain't having that!

No, no, NO! Let the fresh air in!

LOL ok maybe if you're in the country or something! Otherwise, I find I'm expecting fresh air and then get exhaust or cigarette smells. :)

Amen. You said it, sister.

I'm all for fresh air when it isn't eighty hundred million degrees outside... and then I'll probably just open the windows. =)

Precisely! This time of year you gotta have it on recirculate or there isn't a hope in hell of your A/C cooling you before you roast. And I've decided that traffic air is not equivalent to fresh air, at least not in my daily life!

And I find that I'll get in someone else's car, and they have it on the "fresh air" setting, and it seriously bugs me! I wanna like re-educate them right there. It is WAY worse that the whole "which way to hang the toilet paper" question. BTW, obviously the toilet paper needs to unroll towards you, over the top. Phew, glad I got that out there.

oh! I agree. That was one of my biggest pet peeves anytime I lived with roommates. The way the TP hangs is important...they didn't seem to understand.

I had to blink at the picture a few times since I just woke up and thought the one on the right was a car driving with the hood open. That's definitely wrong.

Transcends the language barrier, doesn't it? Idiocy is universally available.

OK, I'll admit I don't like exhaust fumes or construction dust, but we've had beautiful 70 degree weather, and I rarely have to drive in traffic. Just lucky, I guess!

I was confused by Amy's initial comment... I think she meant "exhaust fumes from other (vehicles)" coming into your car. But it could read as "exhaust fumes from (the) other people in your car." Either one has its own logic.

But yes, recirculate that cool air.

Toilet paper, however, should not be recirculated.

New rolls of toilet paper are not hung by any of the 4 other humans in my house. So I getta hang them each and every time my way. Which of course is neatly hanging down under the back, and not over the top, thank you. So it works out over here that no one gives a crap about putting a new roll on. As for car buttons. I am oblivious and leave the adjustments up to my 8 year old who is into it, although he is in my car 5% of the week as opposed to my 95%. I will be consulting with him tonight as I do not have a 2nd button exactly like yours but I think there is one somewhat like that.

I give thee thanks and praise on both the recirculation/fresh air issue, and also toilet paper. Oh yes, I do.

I thought you were worried about your bonnet being up!

Amy said...

Oops. You're right Hootie. Sleep deprivation does funny things!

Becky said...

Thank you Meghan! I am just trying to reach people! :)

Bsouth, I was momentarily confused by your use of the word "bonnet." Then my extensive reading of English novels came to my rescue. We call that the "hood" of the car. Which, it just occurs to me, is exactly the same piece of apparel as bonnet. Why did I never notice that? We really are two nations divided by a common language.

HA! Tell us how you really feel. LOl!

All I can do is laugh! But you're right! And definitely the TP shouldn't be 'inside out.'

The only time to run the fresh air option is if you're defrosting or if you're running the heater. If you're running A/C, ya gotta recirculate or you will pay for it in sweat (and tears).
