Stay Little Valentine

That's the Valentine card Hank would design if he had computer privileges. This is fun: You can do your own little Valentine images at ObamiconMe, the site that lets you make Shepherd Fairey-esque posters, in the style of the Obama "Hope" image. Remember those?

If you haven't gotten a card in the mail to a far-flung friend, why not make a little picture of her, or of the two of you together, and email it? Definitely cuter than those noisemaking ecards. Just one matron's opinion.

Edited to add: Laura saw this post and felt slighted that there wasn't a picture of her, so here she is.

hate the noise making cards, and that cocky girl on the Hallmark commercial too. I'd much rather have the heart shaped sandwich or the stickered apple. from, a crafty mom

That one of Hank is sooo cute! I am totally doing this. We haven't gotten cards in the mail to anyone, much less far-flung friends!

And I agree--Laura needs one, too! ;)

Cool pics. I just heard a few days ago about the legal battle between Shepard Fairey and the AP over his use of that Obama photo. Crazy.

Becky, these are great Valentine's ideas. Thanks for sharing. And inspired by your quest, I scoped out our local Target for Olga Kiely and was very disappointed -- only a few storage boxes and closet stuff. Make them give us more!
