Santa Brunch Pictures

Our neighbors and carpool buddies had a Santa Brunch this morning. It was such a fun, low-key event, and it made me feel that I need to extend myself and have more parties that require actual planning, as opposed to the "just come over and we'll get takeout and play games" kind. Anyway, a very nice start to the Christmas break for the kids. I noticed them clustered at the door and I snapped these pictures to show you.

Watching for Santa
Waiting for Santa to arrive. Hank looks so patient with his hands behind his back.

There He Is!
There he is!

Jolly Old Elf
Hank had darted behind me by this point.

Laura Hugs Santa
But Laura went right in for a hug.

Not too big for this.

The last time Laura met Santa, four years ago.

Hank unwrapped a little Automoblox car. Those are cool.
I hope y'all are having a good weekend!  We are going to take the kids to the movies tonight.  It feels like vacation is starting.

I love the "just come over and we'll get takeout and play games" kind of parties. hahaha You guys rock at those ;)

Thank you, Kelly! Yes, that is a specialty of ours. But I think I can up my game, once a year anyway!

I was going to call them the "just come over and we'll get takeout and play games and drink until I'm belting out Concrete Blonde on Lips" parties. Good times.

What precious pictures! It is so like Hank to hide when Santa enters. Did he ever sit on his lap? My goodness, how Laura has changed through the years. I love that picture of the five year. Old Laura - all Gymboreed up. What a nice way to spend a morning. The kids looks beautiful! Can't wait to see them.

He did sit on Santa's lap, Ma, and you can see the pic if you click through to flickr. He didn't look that thrilled in the shot I got--it wasn't a winner. He was mighty excited to have Santa pull a present out of the sack for him though.

Cute! What a great idea. I CANNOT believe how much Laura has changed in 3 years.

Oh my gosh, she hugged Santa, like they were old friends. I love it!

And Miles William has that same robot sweatshirt as Hank! He wore it yesterday, too. I think I paid like $3 on clearance at Target last week.
