How I Spend One Hundred Percent of My Time: Mountain House Edition

That's about the size of it. It's been too long since I served pie. And what are you so all fired busy with?

What about Hi Ho Cherry-O?

Lately I've spent my time helping to keep track of my husband's wallet as it goes from in and out of my purse or in and out of the car, onto a counter top, onto a dresser, etc. because he will never put it on his own person.

Lord, do I hear you on the Candyland avoidance. Could there BE a more insipid game? Love the pedicure self satisfaction! And, I find that pointing out a bunny to anyone under 4 is a futile exercise! They never see it! :)

'Round these parts, my time is divvied up standing in front of the fireplace, making cheese quesadillas, putting Grace's socks back on, and saving the world: one precious life at a time.

Yum, pie! We've been spending nearly all daylight hours outdoors in the lovely and not so lovely weather. I'm also enjoying summer beverages.

I found the solution to Candyland. I learned to stack the deck. I know it sounds pathetic, but you clearly understand the need and will not judge me for this! Take all the important "send you to" cards and put them near the beginning of the deck, in near correct order. It is ok to be sent to Lord Licorice near the beginning, but heaven forbid you're about to finish the game and he shows his face. My kids were naive and I got away with it until I got rid of the horrid game (6years).

HiHo Cherry-O was a game of frustration for little fingers that always knocked over too many cherries and couldn't put them back without knocking out more.

Try UNO or even Go Fish. Believe it or not, Go Fish can have some good logical thinking and strategy. I can still play both of them and cards can go anywhere.

Of course, trying a pedicure is still the better answer.

My time is consumed with bungee cording things to other things or to themselves, watching clouds drift in from Tennessee, and critically appraising that states' distillers' art.

Right now I'm avoiding laundry! :)

Right now my time seems to be divided between wiping spit-up off things, trying to point out something in a book during the split second between when I hand the baby the book and when he shoves it in his mouth, and smiling and squealing "bouncy bouncy bouncy" to the baby in the jumperoo, trying to encourage him to enjoy it so I can go do something else. Like vacuum, I guess. Or watch Oprah.

I've been doing a lot of self-satisfied driving around in the new mini-van, a lot of phone calling on the Bluetooth from said mini-van, making "shakes" for the new cleanse, breaking up arguments between brothers, and going to the grocery store. Oh, and ironing fuse beads.

Excuse me, I have to break up another fight.

Legos are my major avoidance! They're in my tub, my bed, my big toe . . .

Two days into summer break/working with kids in house party...I spend 80% of my time yelling, "KNOCK BEFORE YOU ENTER!!!" in my office. We are off to a roaring start!

Don't think that the tinkling slice being yellow went unappreciated bc I def 'preciated it.

I'm always Monopoly-avoiding. Boring-est game.

I just actually LOL over Candyland Avoidance. Which I seldom do. I L, just not OL. But anyway, I am so relating, because Jude won a Candyland game in a raffle a couple of weeks ago, and I swear not a day goes by that he doesn't ask me to play, and I have avoided it like mad.

It's about time we got another piechart. I DO love them.
