Pretty much, Michele. But I specialize more in the long, lingering death. Where everything seems fine for a while, and by the time the signs of deterioration show themselves, it's too late to do anything. I've just started buying cheaper plants.
I treat my pond fish like they are princes of the realm than find them belly up in the pond. Price doesn't matter. $25 koi or .25 cent gold I kill them all. The family has banned me from buying them anymore. They are only thinking of the fish.
hahaha, i don't even try any more. my MIL keeps giving me plants and i tell my husband i think she secretly hates plants because she's just sending them to their death. but more likely she just enjoys watching me FAIL.

Your walls are the same color as mine. And that pot is beautiful.

You'll be fine. It's impossible to kill a yukka. I know, I tried to kill my husband's for years.
I'm doing a little better with this. Oh, who am I kidding, I just found all of mine on the brink of death a week ago.
I say it makes them hardier to stress them like that. Tough love.
